Adult Education Program

An important note about HopeWorks and COVID-19.

All Hopeworks Adult Education and ESL classes are open except for Booker T. Washington (BTW), Collierville School, all Memphis Public Libraries, Remington College, Millington and University of Memphis. If you have any questions please call 901-396-8800.

It is never too late to go back to school! With a high school equivalency diploma, you will have access to meaningful careers and better paying jobs to support your family. You will be able to participate in trade or technical programs or work toward your college degree. Also, you will set a great example for your children. You can do this! Call 396-8800 to find out how.

Are you ready to get your diploma (HiSET)?

  • Day or evening classes are available in Whitehaven, Midtown, South Memphis, Bartlett, Orange Mound, Frayser, and others.
  • Each class meets six hours per week for 8-14 weeks.
  • Call 901-396-8800 for the next orientation date.

During orientation, students will receive an introduction to HopeWorks’ Adult Education program and will be able to choose a class that fits their schedule. Students will also take the TABE test to help us determine the appropriate class level.

Our adult students work hard to become better readers and better thinkers, so that by the time they obtain their equivalency diploma, they can truly say they’ve earned it.
