How to get your GED or high school equivalency diploma
Earning your high school equivalency diploma can help you get a better paying job and will help you provide for yourself and your family. Are you worried or scared that you just don’t have the time or skills needed to earn your high school equivalency diploma, or HiSET? HopeWorks’ flexible Adult Education Program allows you to select class times that work with your schedule, and our trained and knowledgeable staff can walk you through the whole process.
We start by helping you understand your class level by taking the TABE test. This lets us know what your learning needs are, and where we need to spend more time preparing for and focusing on your eventual test. We’ll then work with you to reach your goals during our day or evening classes. You’ll need to plan to be with us around six hours per week.
We know finding reliable transportation can be a challenge, so we’ve expanded our class offerings. Classes are held throughout the City of Memphis – from Whitehaven to Midtown, among others – so that no matter where you live, you can have access to awesome education programs.
We will challenge you to become better readers, thinkers and problem-solvers, and will encourage you to participate in trade and technical schools or work towards completing a college degree. Once you earn your HiSET diploma, your possibilities are endless. You’ll see why having a little bit of hope and a lot of passion WORKS!
Receiving your diploma is not only an amazing personal accomplishment but it also sets a good example for your children and family members as well. It’s never too late to learn!
